Shadow of the Eternals, a crowdfunded spiritual sequel to GameCube classic Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, was meant to be a fresh start for a group of developers from struggling studio Silicon Knights. But in a strange development, the team is suspending its fundraising campaign 14 days and over a million dollars short of its goal, saying that new "opportunities" have changed the situation.
