OUELLET TO GRAND RAPIDS

The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday assigned defenseman Xavier Ouellet to the Grand Rapids Griffins. Ouellet made his NHL debut with Detroit last night during the team’s 1-0 shootout loss to the San Jose Sharks, when he became the 134th Griffins alumnus to play in the NHL.
