The Detroit Red Wings on Monday assigned forwards Mitch Callahan, Landon Ferraro, Tomas Nosek, Kevin Porter and Teemu Pulkkinen and defensemen Nick Jensen and Alexey Marchenko to the Griffins. In addition, Detroit released forward Jeff Hoggan from his professional tryout, returning him to Grand Rapids.
