DETROIT ASSIGNS FIVE TO GRAND RAPIDS

The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday assigned forwards Tyler Bertuzzi, Matt Lorito and Evgeny Svechnikov and defensemen Joe Hicketts and Robbie Russo to the Griffins.
