The Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday assigned goaltender Jared Coreau and forward Tomas Nosek to the Griffins. Coreau became the 158th Griffins alumnus to play in the NHL when he debuted with the Red Wings in a 5-3 loss at Pittsburgh last Saturday.
