Louis CK's next role, like so many great actors before him, is officially a talking dog. The AV Club reports that the comedian's long-gestating next film has just been titled The Secret Life of Pets, helmed by Despicable Me director Chris Renaud. In the film, CK will play a terrier forced to deal with its master's new pet, a "sloppy mongrel" played by Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet.
Despite the uninspired premise, the movie does boast an impressive roster of talent. Kevin Hart is attached to play a bunny bent on the annihilation of mankind. Joining him are big names like Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, and Hannibal Burress. (We're not sure how Universal Pictures pulled it off either.) The Secret Life of Pets will hit theaters on July 8th,...
