NASA announces multi-year Mars program including a new rover mission launching in 2020

NASA has just announced new plans for additional Mars missions, building on its ongoing Curiosity rover expedition. The US space agency will send a new "robotic science rover" to the Red Planet in 2020, and launch two spacecraft to study the Mars' atmosphere and interior, beginning in 2013.


NASA will provide a formal announcement tonight at 7PM ET on Ustream — and we'll be watching.
