While familiar television shows and well-known actors have been stealing the Kickstarter spotlight in recent months, crowdfunding has also given life to more niche properties — and now one of last year's most successful animated projects has an official release date. Dick Figures: The Movie, which be released online on September 17th, is a 73-minute film based upon the popular online web series created by Ed Skudder and Zack Keller. It follows the story of two stick figures — named Red and Blue — on a series of goofy comedic adventures, with a heavy emphasis on frenetic action, memes, and dubstep.
