At the end of tonight's episode — right before the ubiquitous "moment of zen" — Jon Stewart announced that August 6th will be his final episode of The Daily Show. It will be a hard ticket to come by, but he reminded fans that a few tickets are being raffled off on the crowdfunding site Omaze.
Stewart has hosted The Daily Show for 19 years. He originally took over the desk for Craig Kilborn, who was the original host. Stewart's replacement is comedian Trevor Noah, who recently came under fire for insensitive jokes made on Twitter. It has not been announced when Noah will take over the show.
