Director Guillermo del Toro showed off footage from his upcoming film Pacific Rim back at WonderCon last month and received a hugely enthusiastic response, and now he's released that same trailer for all to see. The new clip simultaneously show even more of the huge deep-sea aliens and 2,500-ton battle robots, but it also fleshes out a few more bits of the story, which focuses on humanity's battle to avoid being wiped off the face of the planet. There's plenty of action, drama, and GlaDos packed into the trailer, which you can view below. Pacific Rim is slated to open on July 12th, and it'll be coming to IMAX as well as standard theaters — given the immense scope of this film, we're thinking IMAX will be the way to go.
