"Sorry guys, I didn't realize, that I needed you so much." With that line, Rivers Cuomo and Weezer begin "Back to The Shack," the band's first single from its first album in four years. Everything Will Be Alright In The End comes out September 30th, but the band picked a fairly quiet Monday to drop its first single, which it launched only on YouTube. It's not on iTunes until Tuesday at midnight, and on Wednesday Weezer will play it on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
Weezer's been using YouTube to tease the production of its new album, which sees the band reuniting with Ric Ocasek, the producer behind a lot of the band's best music — including 1994's The Blue Album, to which "Back to The Shack" makes explicit reference. The videos...
