Camino browser ends development after ten years

The open source web browser Camino is no longer in development, after landing on Macs about a decade ago. Camino's developers felt that it had fallen behind modern browsers like Chrome and Firefox, and that continuing to slowly develop the browser would lead to serious security issues for its users. Though Camino's marketshare hasn't been significant in some time, it originally served as one of the limited options that Mac users had for surfing the web. At first, Camino was one of the few browsers that embraced OS X's aesthetics and services, but over the years its development slowed. While the announcement that Camino's development is over was only made yesterday, the browser's final update was back in March of last year.
