Apple TV adds channels for ABC News, AOL, PBS Kids, and a redesigned Flickr app


Apple TV owners are getting a few new options for content this month, led by ABC News and AOL. The former offers both live and on-demand news feeds, mixing in entertainment coverage, original programming, and live hourly updates. You'll also find highlights from ABC News' programming lineup including Good Morning America, World News, 20/20, and Nightline. Unlike WatchABC — which offers on-demand access to the network's primetime shows — using ABC News doesn't require a cable subscription. The app offers deeper local news coverage for "nine major markets" according to ABC. These include New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, Milwaukee, and others.
