Watch how motion tracking turns actors into primates for 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'


A new behind-the-scenes feature from IGN looks at the technology used to create the simians in 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,' the sequel to 2011's reboot of the sci-fi franchise, 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes.'


The apes in the new movie, out July 11th, have incredibly realistic facial expressions and body movements due to advanced motion tracking developed by Weta Digital, a New Zealand special effects house.
