A ghostly New York City captured by MTA evacuation photos

The MTA has posted a gallery of photos to Flickr taken with a wide range of devices, like the iPhone 4, Galaxy S III, and Nikon D4 that show a practically abandoned New York City in the wake of the oncoming storm. Grand Central Station and Penn Station lie empty, while constantly busy destinations, such as Times Square Station, are also deserted thanks to the cancellation of the train system on Sunday evening. There are still some signs of life though, as the MTA continues to make preparations in the background to defend against the elements.
