Verizon Wireless has announced that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for its Motorola Droid RAZR HD and Maxx HD smartphones will begin rolling out to users starting next week. The carrier had promised that the update would arrive before the end of the year when it announced the phones back in September, so it's good to see it stick to its promise. The update will be delivered in phases, so not everyone will get it at the same time. In addition to all of the performance updates included with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Verizon says that the update also offers improved voice and data connectivity, better native calendar settings, and updated versions of Verizon's preloaded apps.
